Cyclocross Racing History
For those of you new to the fast-growing sport of cyclocross racing, here’s a little history:
Cyclocross races started in Europe around the turn of the 20th Century. It was a means for road racers of the time to stay fit during the winter months.
Cyclocross races went from one village to another using the shortest distance possible which had cyclocross race riders riding through fields and forests where they had to contend with many obstacles. Streams, fences, and logs were common.
Cyclocross Racing Techniques
One of the more difficult areas of cyclocross racing is the dismount, followed by clearing the cyclocross barrier or barriers.
This where Cross Propz excel. During cyclocross training, if you don’t navigate successfully over the Cross Propz mobile cyclocross barrier, you can simply keep going. Cross Propz will give. They flex and pop right back into shape. Also at the height of 17” you practice at the official UCI height. So, if you master the Cross Propz, you will be able to master any cyclocross barrier in a race.
There are many cyclocross training techniques and, as the cyclocross racing season approaches, look out for the Cross Propz Blog. We will be offering some of the cyclocross tips and techniques from our own experience.
